How to create a Bio card

What is a Bio card?

The Bio Card allows you to introduce yourself and what makes you tick, and other personal information including your preferred pronouns, nationality, the languages you speak, interests and web-links to other personal websites or social media channels. You can also manage the answers you submit for equity, diversity and inclusion questionnaires as well. 

How to create your Bio

Step 1: Add your profile picture. 

Step 2: Fill out your details (Name, Location, Pronouns, Current Job Title, Current Company and Bio summary).

Step 3: Add tags to provide a quick overview of your nationality, any languages you speak, interests and hobbies. 

Step 4: You can add links to your social media website, personal websites or portfolios .

Step 5: Create your own unique, personal URL that links to your Vizzy profile.

Step 6: If you want to bring your bio to life with a cover video it must be uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo. You can copy and paste the video link into the video link entry field in your bio. You are not able to upload a video file directly onto your Vizzy profile - it must be hosted on YouTube or Vimeo.

Step: 7: Edit the information you submit to EDI questionnaires.

Adding a Video from YouTube to Vizzy

Step 1: Start watching a video on youtube.com.

Step 2: Under the video, click Share.

Step 3: A panel will open, presenting different sharing options:

• Copy the link: Click the Copy button to copy a link to the video that you can paste somewhere else, like in an email message.
• Start at: To link to a specific part of the video, check this box and enter the start time before you copy the link. For example, to start the video at 2 minutes and 30 seconds, check the box and enter “2:30.”

Additional information on sharing videos

Your YouTube video privacy settings MUST be set to ‘Public’ or ‘Unlisted’ so the video is viewable on your Vizzy profile. 

You MUST NOT have the privacy settings set to ‘Private’.

Uploading Your Own Video to Vimeo

Adding a Video from Vimeo to Vizzy

Step 1: To share a video, first select it from your Library to open the video settings page.

Step 2: Select the Share button in the top right corner of the page.

Step 3: A new modal will appear with options for sharing, embedding, and changing the privacy settings for your video

Step 4: Select the Copy link button in the lower right corner of the modal to copy the link to share your video.

Tip: Hold Ctrl and V keys on a PC or Command and V keys on a Mac to paste a link.

Additional information on sharing videos

Your Vimeo video privacy settings MUST be set to ‘Public’ or ‘Hide from Vimeo’ so the video is viewable on your Vizzy profile. 

You MUST NOT have the privacy settings set to ‘Unlisted’, ‘Password’ or ‘Private’.
